Paul Hirner
Paul Hirner has 18 years experience first as a medical professional and then as a founder and leader of computer technology companies including one of the most successful web sites in America. A native of South Africa, Paul's drive to succeed was on display as early as 1983 and 1984 when he attained his Springbok colors on the South African National Karate team. In 1987, Paul graduated with a bachelor's degree in Dental Science from the University of Witwatersrand. He then owned and managed dental clinics in the United Kingdom from 1990 through 1997. Paul founded the file storage and sharing site MySpace.com in 1999, growing it to a user base of 8 million members. He founded thinkSmart LLC in San Francisco in 2001 in an effort to provide Business Intelligence and online application solutions to fortune 500 companies. Paul is also a founder of Quanis.
Michael Concannon
Michael has more than 15 years of leadership experience building global IT solutions guiding top-tier companies in Europe and the US. An accomplished corporate IT strategist and entrepreneur, his vision and expertise in IT and business performance have driven notable enterprise successes in the financial services, insurance and manufacturing sectors. Offering a rare blend of technology and business strengths, Michael has successfully applied leading edge technical solutions to difficult business problems, and both his strategic and tactical approach to building a business is reflected in his work as co-founder of thinkSmart. Michael holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the National University of Ireland (NUI), and an MA also from the NUI.
Charel Margison-Evans
Charel grew up in Glasgow, Scotland. She gained her BA in Business Administration and then taught software applications both there and in London before moving to California. She spent the next eleven years in the Direct Mail service bureau industry moving from temporary administrative help to Director of Support Services, learning programming and managing marketing, technical and testing staff en route. She combines the best attributes of operations management, project coordination and programming nerd. Her personal icons are Sean Connery and Miss Piggy.
Clem Lau
Clem is the manager of thinkSmart's data services which include merge purge, business intelligence and data warehousing. He graduated from the University of Waterloo in Canada with a Bachelor of Math in 1998. He began his career working as a data warehouse consultant and gained several more years of experience in database marketing, CRM, business intelligence and sql programming and before joining thinkSmart in 2003.
