Alain Rostain
is the founder and principal of Creative Advantage, a strategic
innovation consulting firm. His work has centered on helping clients
create business value through the successful implementation of new
ideas. He is an expert at idea management implementation, creative
thinking and the use of improvisational theater techniques for individual
and group effectiveness.
As an undergraduate and graduate student studying Artificial Intelligence
at Yale University, Alain focused on using computers to model and
understand creative thinking in people. After being introduced to
improvisational theater in 1990, Alain saw the potential benefits
of using improv techniques to develop and support creative thinking
and effective performance. Based on this premise, he founded Creative
Advantage in 1993. His firm has serviced dozens of Fortune 500 clients
since.
Most recently, Alain founded the Association for the Advancement
of Improvisation in Business, the first professional association
to bring together practitioners across the globe (www.improvinbiz.org).
Alain has also been very active in the InnovationNetwork since its
inception.
Alain is fluent in Spanish, French and English.
