Charles W. Prather earned a
Ph.D. in biochemistry from N.C. State University, joined DuPont as Research Chemist
and served for 24 years in numerous R&D Management positions. Charlie was appointed
Manager of the DuPont Center for Creativity & Innovation upon its formation and
helped shape its direction and design its offerings. He has received training from
some of the world's experts.
Charlie is president of CW
Prather Associates, Inc., and some of his clients include Dow Chemical, DuPont, Hewlett
Packard, Clorox, PPG, The Smithsonian Institution, Herman Miller, and many others.
He is guest lecturer at Drexel, DePaul, and Case Western Reserve Universitys
Weatherhead School, and is on the Board of Directors of DePaul Universitys Ryan
Creativity Center. Charlie is a frequent keynote speaker and conference presenter,
authored magazine articles, and his book, Blueprints for Innovation,
was published by The American Management Association who have distributed more than
80,000 copies.
